Where exactly are we?
That’s a question we continually ask ourselves. To tell you the truth we’re not entirely sure. It’s a puzzle, wrapped in an enigma. At least, that’s what Transport Quebec must have been thinking when they put up the signs on the new Highway 5 extension. What we do know is:
Don’t go straight at Exit 28.
Instead turn off. You’ll then be confronted with a traffic circle. Another directional challenge (unless you're from Europe) - yes, but don’t worry. There you’ll find a small sign pointing to Wakefield (2nd exit). If you follow it, you’ll find us on the left at the bottom of the hill.
If, for some reason, you did not exit at exit 28, don't worry.
You'll just end up at the north end of the village and will have to backtrack.
Just keep going to the end of the 4-laner, turn right, go down the hill. You get to the only traffic light in town.
Turn right. Now you are on Riverside Drive (also known as Chemin Riverside).
Enjoy your drive through the village. When you get to the flashing light (also the only one in town), turn right and you are on Chemin Valley - 50 m to go, turn right into the big parking lot of the Wakefield Centre.
